Abstract

Penciptaan karya akhir ini bertujuan untuk memvisualisasikan Makna Adat Batak Sebagai Ide Seni Lukis Kontemporer. Ide penciptaan karya ini adalah bagaimana memaknai adat Batak ke dalam seni lukis. Serta sebagai saran untuk memperdalam konsep dan teknik berkarya lukis. Metode dan proses karya yang digunakan dalam penciptaan karya seni lukis kontemporer ini melalui beberapa tahapan: (1) persiapan, (2) elaborasi, (3) sintesis, (4) Realisasi Konsep, (5) penyelesaian. Adapun hasil dari karya yang telah divisualisasikan ke dalam media dua dimensi, diperoleh 10 karya dengan judul sebagai berikut: “Pandora dari Utara”, ”Singa yang Terdayuh”, ”Menggapai Harapan”, “Kebenaran dari Tanah Batak”, ”Dalihan Natolu”, ”Penerang Kehidupan”, “Ter-Abaikan”, Terlupakan, “Menyelamatkan warisan, “Kedamaian”.
