Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana tingkat kemiskinan di Kota Binjai, Sumatera Utara yang dipengaruhi oleh pertumbuhan penduduk dan pengangguran. Dalam penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Data sekunder dari tahun 2010 hingga 2022 diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Binjai. Metode Analisis Regresi Linier Berganda diterapkan dalam penelitian ini. Dengan nilai koefisien sebesar -49,323, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel jumlah penduduk memiliki pengaruh negatif dan signifikan secara marjinal terhadap variabel tingkat kemiskinan di Kota Binjai. Sementara itu, variabel pengangguran di Kota Binjai memiliki nilai korelasi positif sebesar 0,316 namun tidak signifikan secara statistik terhadap variabel tingkat kemiskinan. Sedangkan secara bersama-sama atau simultan Jumlah penduduk dan Pengangguran memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap tingkat kemiskinan di Kota Binjai.
