Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pengaruh Islam terhadap perkembangan teknologi pelayaran Melayu dari perspektif historis, dengan fokus pada hubungan antara inovasi teknologi dan tradisi maritim yang berbasis nilai-nilai Islam. Islamisasi kawasan Melayu sejak abad ke-7 tidak hanya membawa perubahan spiritual, tetapi juga memperkenalkan teknologi pelayaran baru, seperti penggunaan kompas, astrolab, dan sistem navigasi berbasis bintang. Melalui pendekatan historis dan analisis artefak, artikel ini juga menunjukkan bagaimana teknologi pelayaran menjadi alat penyebaran Islam dan memperkuat jaringan perdagangan lintas wilayah. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa Islam memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap integrasi inovasi teknologi dan tradisi maritim, menciptakan identitas maritim yang khas di Nusantara.
