Hubungan Antara Kecerdasan Emosi dengan Kecanduan Game Online Pada Mahasiswa yang Bermain Game Online X di Kota Padang

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosi dengan kecanduan game online pada mahasiswa yang bermain game online X di kota Padang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan populasi penelitian adalah 65 orang mahasiswa dari berbagai universitas di kota Padang. Subjek penelitian ditentukan berdasarkan kriteria subjek yang telah ditetapkan oleh peneliti yaitu, mahasiswa di kota Padang yang bermain game online X selama 30 jam perminggu dan 12 bulan. Sampel pada penelitian ini diambil menggunakan teknik snowball sampling, ialah seorang peneliti menetukan subjek secara berantai. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan membagikan kuisioner menggunakan google form kepada responden. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah korelasi product moment. Hasil uji hipotesis yang didapatkan ialah dengan koefisien korelasi r = -0,028 dengan signifikansi (p) = 0,826 ( p> 0.05). Berarti H0 diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang antara kecerdasan emosi dengan kecanduan game online pada mahasiswa yang bermain game online X di kota Padang.
