Moral Values on the Songs in Student’s Textbook When English Rings a Bell for 7th Grade Junior High School

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan jenis-jenis nilai moral yang terkandung dalam lagu-lagu yang terdapat dalam buku teks siswa When English a Bell untuk kelas VII SMP. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan desain deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi untuk menganalisis jenis-jenis nilai moral yang terkandung dalam lagu. Ada empat lagu yang tercetak di buku teks yaitu Good Morning, How are You, What a Wonderful World, dan Count on Me. Peneliti melakukan analisis dengan menggunakan analisis dokumen sebagai instrumen untuk melihat jenis-jenis nilai moral yang ditemukan berdasarkan teori yang dipilih. Hasil analisis data, peneliti menemukan bahwa ada tiga jenis nilai moral yang terkandung dalam lagu, yaitu kesantunan, religi, dan solidaritas. Peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa nilai-nilai tersebut dapat diimplementasikan oleh siswa dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Lagu dapat dijadikan sebagai media yang menarik untuk menyampaikan nilai-nilai moral kepada siswa sesuai dengan capaian kurikulum 2013.
