Abstract

Kritikus feminis menganalisis bagaimana perempuan ditampilkan, bagaimana teks didiskusikan relasi gender dan diferensiasi seks. Maya Angelou adalah seorang penulis feminis dan karyanya mencakup perjuangan dan kemenangan seorang wanita kulit hitam di Amerika. Maya Angelou adalah salah satu penyair yang menggunakan puisi sebagai media untuk mengekspresikan dirinya isolasi dari lingkungannya. Maya Angelou melalui puisi Fenomenal Woman menyajikan bahwa seksualitas seorang wanita tidak secara langsung berkaitan dengan wajah cantik. Ini tentang bagaimana perasaan seorang wanita di dalam dirinya sendiri. Puisi ini merayakan kekuatan wanita dan pembicara digambarkan sebagai wanita yang kuat dan percaya diri. Dia kekuatan, perilakunya dan kepercayaan dirinya menjadi misteri batin yang membuatnya menjadi wanita fenomenal.
