PENGARUH DALAM MENGGUNAKAN MIND-MAPPING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN DAN MINAT MEMBACA SISWA SMK NEGERI 1 BANGKINANG KOTA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan instruksi teknikMind Mapping terhadap pemahaman membaca dan minat membaca siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah kelompok eksperimen semu dari 25 siswa dan kelompok kontrol 26 siswa kelas XI SMKN 1 Bangkinang Kota. Selama penelitian, para siswa di kedua kelompok diberi pretest dan posttest dari 30 pertanyaan pada pemahaman bacaan dan kuesioner tipe Likert dari 20 item untuk peserta untuk menyelesaikan untuk mengetahui minat membaca mereka. Mind-mapping dan pengajaran berbasis teknik non- Mind Mapping secara terpisah diperlakukan baik untuk eksperimen maupun kelompok kontrol yang sesuai. SPSS 20 Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara pre-test dan post-test pemahaman membaca siswa dari kelompok eksperimen pada tingkat signifikansi (p = 0,000). Perhitungan eta-kuadrat mengungkapkan bahwa ada peningkatan pemahaman membaca sebesar 73%. Berdasarkan analisis data minat membaca siswa, hasil t-test adalah -4,847, df nya adalah 24, dan probabilitasnya adalah 0,000 (p <0,05). Dengan demikian, ada juga perbedaan yang signifikan antara minat membaca siswa antara pra-kuesioner dan skor rata-rata post-kuesioner dari kelompok eksperimen. Iso-kuadrat juga menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 49%. Temuan dari penelitian ini memberikan bahwa cara ini efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa dan untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa.
