Abstract

Penggunaan styrofoam sebagai bahan agregat dalam campuran beton adalah suatu inovasi yang bertujuan untuk mengurangi dampak lingkungan yang dihasilkan oleh penolakan limbah styrofoam serta untuk memperbaiki sifat mekanis dan termal dari beton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan limbah styrofoam sebagai bahan agregat kasar terhadap campuran beton. Penelitian ini melibatkan pengujian fisik dan mekanik campuran beton yang mengandung agregat styrofoam. Limbah styrofoam yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dihancurkan menjadi ukuran partikel tertentu dan dicampur dengan bahan beton konvensional sesuai dengan perbandingan yang telah ditentukan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengukur sifat-sifat mekanik seperti kuat tekan, kekuatan tarik belah, kekuatan modulus elastisitas, dan sifat termal beton yang mengandung agregat styrofoam.
