Abstract

Inti dari transformasi adalah mengubah potensi menjadi energi yang nyata. Seorang kepala sekolah yang mampu melakukan transformasi kepemimpinan dapat mengubah potensi institusinya menjadi energi untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil pendidikan. Implementasi kepemimpinan transformasional dalam lembaga pendidikan sekolah mengacu pada bagaimana kepala sekolah dapat mengembangkan budaya keunggulan di sekolah. Kepala sekolah sebaiknya menekankan pentingnya membangun budaya yang berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas proses pendidikan di sekolah. Langkah-langkah yang perlu dilakukan meliputi pemahaman terhadap budaya sekolah, memastikan komunitas sekolah memahami nilai-nilai keunggulan, elemen-elemen budaya, dan kualitas, serta membangun perubahan budaya sesuai dengan tuntutan masyarakat. Dalam kondisi seperti ini, kepemimpinan yang dibutuhkan untuk membangun budaya organisasi adalah kepemimpinan yang melibatkan kemampuan teknis, manusiawi, dan kependidikan.
