Penginjilan berbasis komunitas telah menjadi fokus penting gereja-gereja dalam upaya mereka menciptakan perubahan positif dalam masyarakat. Pendekatan ini menekankan partisipasi aktif gereja-gereja dalam kehidupan komunitas di mana mereka berada, membangun hubungan yang kuat dan langgeng dengan individu dan kelompok dalam komunitatersebut. Melalui pendekatan partisipatif, gereja berupaya memahami secara mendalam kebutuhan, tantangan dan keinginan masyarakat, serta bekerja sama untuk memecahkan masalah dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup bersama.Pendekatan ini menekankan pentingnya inklusi, penghormatan terhadap keberagaman, dan pemberdayaan seluruh anggota masyarakat dalam proses pengambilan keputusan yang mempengaruhi kehidupan mereka. Dengan demikian, gereja tidak hanya menjadi tempat ibadah, tetapi juga agen perubahan, yang berkomitmen untuk memperjuangkan keadilan sosial, pembangunan berkelanjutan, dan kesejahteraan bersama.
