Promosi merupakan bagian yang paling penting dan merupakan salah satu cara khusus yang digunakan saat memperkenalkan suatu produk pada konsumen dalam pemasaran produk. Dewasa ini publisitas online sangat berperan untuk mendorong konsumen mengambil keputusan pembelian. Sebelumnya transaksi jual beli hanya dapat dilakukan secara langsung, tetapi di zaman yang sudah serba cepat, teknologi berkembang dengan pesat dan informasi dari seluruh dunia dapat diakses dengan mudah. Jual beli online atau secara tidak langsung yaitu melalui media sosial banyak dilakukan oleh produsen. Media sosial dimanfaatkan sebagai media untuk promosi penjualan produk atau jasa.
