Pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning terhadap Prestasi Belajar dan Keterampilan Sosial Siswa SD pada Pembelajaran IPS

Rendahnya prestasi belajar serta keterampilan sosial siswa salah satunya disebabkan oleh ketidaktepatan guru dalam memilih dan mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran. Model Problem Based Learning menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar dan keterampilan sosial siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) keterlaksanaan model Problem Based Learning, 2) perbedaan pengaruh prestasi belajar siswa di kelas eksperimen dan kontrol, 3) pengaruh keterampilan sosial siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) pembelajaran menggunakan model Problem Based Learning terlaksana dengan sangat baik (persentase 96%). 2) Terdapat perbedaan pengaruh model Problem Based Learning dan model konvensional terhadap prestasi belajar, dengan N-Gain kelas eksperimen 43% dan kelas kontrol 28%. 3) Model Problem Based Learning berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan sosial siswa, dengan peningkatan sebesar 36%. Dengan demikian model Problem Based Learning berpengaruh secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar dan keterampilan sosial siswa SD.
