Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas V SD Swasta Budisatrya dan menganalisis pengaruh dari strategi Inside Outside Circle terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Swasta Budisatrya Medan berjumlah 41 orang yang terdiri dari kelas VA dan VB. Kelas VA sebagai kelompok eksperimen berjumlah 21 siswa dan kelas VB sebagai kelompok kontrol berjumlah 20 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data penelitian adalah tes hasil belajar. Analisis data penelitian dilakukan dengan menerapkan analisis deskriptif dan uji hipotesis melalui uji Independent Sample Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) hasil belajar IPAS siswa mengalami peningkatan baik pada kelompok eksperimen maupun kelompok kontrol yang ditandai dengan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 11,9 pada kelompok eksperimen yang belajar dengan strategi Inside Outside Circle, dan peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebesar 10,75 pada kelompok kontrol yang belajar dengan metode ceramah-tanya jawab; (2) terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari strategi Inside Outside Circle terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa yang ditandai dengan nilai thitung 2,355 > ttabel 1,684 dan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,024 < 0,05.
