Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), sebagai organisasi Islam terbesar di Indonesia, telah memainkan peran penting dalam lanskap politik nasional sejak era kemerdekaan (Fealy, 2007). Menurut Bush (2009), keterlibatan NU dalam politik Indonesia telah mengalami berbagai transformasi, mencerminkan dinamika hubungan antara agama dan negara dalam konteks negara multikultur.Penelitian ini mengkaji partisipasi Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) dalam agenda politik Indonesia dari masa kemerdekaan hingga era reformasi. Dengan menggunakan metode analisis historis dan studi literatur, penelitian ini menyelidiki peran NU dalam membentuk lanskap politik nasional, transformasi organisasinya dari partai politik menjadi organisasi sosial-keagamaan, serta pengaruhnya terhadap kebijakan pemerintah dan dinamika politik kontemporer.
