Social Comparison adalah proses dimana orang dapat mengenal diri mereka sendiri dengan mengevaluasi sikap mereka sendiri, kemampuan, keyakinan dibandingkan dengan orang lain. Di era digital saat ini, khususnya pengguna aktif instagram yaitu dewasa muda mengalami psychological well being yang buruk, yang disebabkan karena penggunanya memiliki standar social comparison yang ditentukan oleh pengguna lain instagram. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami apa saja jenis dan motif dari social comparison, serta dimensi dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi psychological well being. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi literature. Hasil penelitian ini, social comparison ditentukan oleh diri sendiri. Semakin dewasa muda pengguna aktif intagram mengikuti social comparison standar orang lain, maka makin buruk psychological well being yang dimilikinya.
