Optimasi Konsentrasi Larutan Katalis Fe2+ Dengan Metode Wet Peroxide Oxidation (WPO) Untuk Identifikasi Mikroplastik Polyethylene

Mikroplastik adalah partikel plastik yang berukuran kurang dari 5 mm, yang dihasilkan dari proses degradasi plastik yang lebih besar akibat paparan sinar UV, abrasi fisik, dan proses biologi. Salah satu jenis polimer plastik diantaranya PE. PE merupakan salah satu jenis plastik yang sering digunakan untuk membuat kantong kemasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kondisi optimal untuk memisahkan mikroplastik PE dari pengotornya dengan menvariasikan konsentrasi larutan katalis Fe2+ 0.025 M, 0.05 M, 0.075 M, 0,1 M, dan 0.125 M. Karakterisasi mikroplastik dilakukan menggunakan mikroskop dan FTIR. Hasil karakterisasi menggunakan mikroskop diidentifikasi mikroplastik PE berbentuk fragmen dan karakterisasi menggunakan FTIR menunjukkan ciri khas dari PE pada bilangan gelombang 2913 cm-1, 2850 cm-1, 1464 cm-1, dan 719 cm-1.
