Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia akibat metode pembelajaran konvensional yang kurang melibatkan siswa secara aktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa melalui penerapan metode Discovery Learning. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas VII Mts Al-Jumhuriyah dengan jumlah siswa 19 orang yang terdiri dari 10 orang laki-laki dan 9 orang perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam beberapa siklus, melibatkan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I adalah 42,1% dan siklus II adalah 89,47%. Berdasarkan data persentase tersebut menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada tiap siklus. Peningkatan persentase dari dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 47,37%.
