Abstract

Model pembelajaran PBL (Problem Based Learning) merupakan suatu pendekatan pembelajaran yang aktif dimana menggunakan masalah sebagai bahan pendorong siswa untuk belajar. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana efektifitas dari model PBL terhadap pembelajaran yang ada sehingga dapat menjadi pertimbangan bagi pada pengajar untuk menggunakan pendekatan PBL dalam pembelajaran. Hasil yang didapatkan dari mengkaji 20 artikel ilmiah adalah bahwa model pembelajaran PBL efektif untuk digunakan di berbagai materi di berbagai pelajaran dimana model PBL berhasil mengingkatkan berbagai kompetensi siswa seperti motivasi belajar, minat belajar, berpikir kritis, kemampuan memecahkan masalah, pengetahuan kognitif serta hasil belajar. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran PBL efektif dan masih relevan untuk digunakan hingga saat ini.
