Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah buat mengkaji efek penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif Pair Check terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika pada siswa kelas XII MIPA di MAN 4 Agam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah praeksperimental dengan menerapkan desain perbandingan statistik. Semua siswa kelas XII MIPA MAN 4 Agam dilibatkan dalam penelitian, di mana kelas XII MIPA1 berperan sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas XII MIPA2 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Pengujian awal dilakukan di MAN 1 Agam buat memperoleh data awal. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes yang dirancang buat mengevaluasi kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa, diterapkan uji t pada data yang diperoleh dengan tingkat signifikansi 5%. Dari hasil analisis, diketahui bahwa nilai t_hitung sebesar 4,164, sementara t_tabel sebesar 4,170. Karena t_hitung lebih kecil dari t_tabel, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Pair Check tidak memberikan efek signifikan terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa.
