Karakteristik Makanan sebagai Identitas Budaya: Studi Komparatif Kuliner Timur Tengah dan Indonesia

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makanan sebagai bentuk identitas budaya masyarakat Timur Tengah dan Indonesia melalui pendekatan deskriptif-komparatif. Makanan tidak hanya berperan sebagai pemenuhan kebutuhan biologis, tetapi juga merepresentasikan nilai sosial, simbolik, dan spiritual yang mencerminkan cara hidup suatu masyarakat. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif berbasis studi pustaka, penelitian ini membandingkan aspek bahan makanan, teknik pengolahan, makna sosial, dan simbolisme yang terkandung dalam kuliner kedua wilayah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kuliner Timur Tengah seperti hummus, kurma, dan teh Arab sarat akan nilai religius dan simbol keramahan yang kuat. Sementara itu, kuliner Indonesia seperti rendang dan nasi tumpeng mencerminkan nilai gotong royong, rasa syukur, dan keseimbangan spiritual.
