Penelitian tindakan merupakan metode penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan praktik nyata di lapangan melalui siklus tindakan dan refleksi. Pendekatan ini bersifat partisipatif dan kolaboratif, menjadikan peneliti dan partisipan sebagai mitra dalam merumuskan, melaksanakan, dan mengevaluasi tindakan perbaikan. Dalam konteks pendidikan, penelitian tindakan sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, karena memungkinkan guru untuk secara langsung mengidentifikasi masalah dan menerapkan solusi berdasarkan refleksi atas praktik mereka sendiri. Makalah ini membahas pengertian, karakteristik, tujuan, model, tahapan, serta kelebihan dan kekurangan dari penelitian tindakan.
