Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu kompetensi esensial yang diperlukan untuk menghadapi tantangan pembelajaran abad ke-21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMA. Metode yang digunakan adalah tinjauan literatur terhadap berbagai studi empiris dan teoretis yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model ini dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui aktivitas pemecahan masalah, kolaborasi kelompok, dan proses refleksi. Temuan dari berbagai penelitian mengindikasikan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran berbasis masalah dibandingkan dengan pendekatan konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, penerapan Problem Based Learning secara sistematis direkomendasikan sebagai strategi efektif dalam meningkatkan berpikir kritis di tingkat SMA.
