Penerapan Model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dengan Pendekatan Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Kognitif Siswa Kelas VIII C pada Pembelajaran IPA Materi Sistem Ekskresi di SMP Negeri 1 Padang

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPA pada materi Sistem Ekskresi melalui penerapan model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) yang dikombinasikan dengan pendekatan Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus di kelas VIII C SMP Negeri 1 Padang, melibatkan 34 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan kognitif siswa, dari rata-rata nilai 68 pada siklus I menjadi 83 pada siklus II. Kombinasi PBL dan TaRL efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, mendorong berpikir kritis, serta memperdalam pemahaman konsep IPA.
