Artikel ini membahas pemberitaan tindakan tegas terhadap kejahatan begal di Kota Medan oleh Tribrata News Polrestabes Medan. Kejahatan begal yang meresahkan masyarakat mengakibatkan rasa tidak aman dan gangguan ketertiban umum. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis framing untuk memahami bagaimana media membingkai isu ini. Melalui pemilihan diksi dan struktur narasi, media memperkuat citra polisi sebagai pahlawan dan pelaku sebagai ancaman ekstrem. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa framing ini menghilangkan diskusi tentang hak asasi dan penyebab sosial kriminalitas, sehingga media kehilangan fungsi kontrol sosial dan hanya menjadi alat legitimasi kekuasaan.
