Abstract

Matematika adalah subjek yang diajarkan kepada siswa sekolah dasar, akan tetapi masih tergolong rendah, terutama karena pembelajaran cenderung bersifat teoritis dan kurang kontekstual. Model Project Based Learning (PjBL) hadir sebagai alternatif keikutsertaan aktif dari siswa dalam proyek kontekstual untuk membangun pemahaman yang lebih mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh penerapan PjBL terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan berupa studi literatur terhadap sejumlah artikel ilmiah relevan dalam lima tahun terakhir. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa PjBL mampu memperdalam pemahaman konsep secara signifikan. Keterlibatan siswa dalam proyek mendorong eksplorasi materi, hubungan antar konsep, serta pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Dengan demikian, PjBL dinilai efektif dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang bermakna dan kontekstual, serta dapat menjadi strategi yang potensial dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar.
