Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa berdasarkan taksonomi ruddell peserta didik kelas IV SDN Karawaci 1 pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dan data analisis menggunakan triangulasi data yang terdiri dari tiga aktivitas yaitu, reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Dari hasil tes kemampuan membaca pemahaman berdasarkan taksonomi ruddell didapatkan kemampuan peserta didik masih tergolong rendah pada materi soal cerita.
