Dinamika Laut Cina Selatan dalam Perspektif Realisme Dunia Internasional

Dinamika di Laut Cina Selatan sebagai salah satu wilayah laut terpenting dunia semakin berkembang seiring dengan semakin intensnya aktivitas Tiongkok yang melakukan klaim akan wilayah tersebut dengan sembilan garis putus-putusnya. Hal tersebut mendorong Amerika Serikat untuk turut terlibat di kawasan untuk melawan pengaruh Tiongkok di kawasan. Sebagai organisasi internasional yang menaungi negara-negara di dunia, penting untuk melihat lebih lanjut peran PBB dalam dinamika di Laut Cina Selatan. Dalam tulisan ini akan dibahas lebih lanjut dinamika di kawasan Laut Cina Selatan mulai dari balancing, security dilemma hingga peran PBB dilihat dari perspektif realisme khususnya neo-realisme ofensif dan defensif. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PBB terutama Dewan Keamanan PBB cenderung tidak berdaya dalam menghadapi dinamika yang melibatkan anggota Dewan Keamanan PBB.
