Perlindungan Hukum terhadap Pencipta Software dari Aktivitas Penjualan Key Generator Secara Illegal

Pembajakan terhadap software telah lama menjadi masalah serius di Indonesia. Pembajakan software sering dilakukan menggunakan media CD, Internet, bahkan lebih modernnya dilakukan jual beli yang file bajakan tersebut dijual bebas di lapak online dan data tersebut ditransfer melalui drive Google ke pelanggan yang membelinya. Hal ini dinilai sangat merugikan pihak pencipta dikarenakan key generator yang dijual secara ilegal itu merugikan karena software bajakan akan terus disebar dan otomatis dapat merugikan pihak pencipta terutama dari segi ekonomi. Dalam regulasinya, perlindungan terhadap pencipta software hanya terbatas pada delik aduan. Akan tetapi pada pencegahan agar penjualan key generator ini secara ilegal belum dilakukan secara keras oleh pemerintah sehingga masih banyak penjual key generator illegal tersebut masih beroperasi di lapak-lapak online di e-commerce.
