Peran Kepemimpinan Transformasional Kepala Sekolah dalam Formasi Spiritual Guru Sekolah Menengah di Tangerang

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah dan bagaimana kepemimpinan transformasional diimplementasikan oleh kepala sekolah SMP dan SMA XYZ di Tangerang, serta untuk mengeksplorasi perannya dalam pembinaan spiritual guru. Penelitian ini dirancang sebagai studi kasus kualitatif. Data primer dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur. Peserta penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah SMP dan SMA serta dua orang guru, satu dari SMP dan satu lagi dari SMA. Partisipan guru ditentukan dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan analisis tema dan masalah. Data divalidasi melalui triangulasi sumber. Dokumen sekolah yang relevan dikumpulkan dan digunakan sebagai data sekunder. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah sebenarnya terjadi dalam empat aspeknya: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration. Tantangan yang dihadapi dalam penerapan kepemimpinan transformasional antara lain menjalankan prinsip sebagai panutan, membuat keputusan yang tidak populer, dan menghadapi guru yang tidak kooperatif. Kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah diakui oleh para guru berperan penting dalam pertumbuhan pembinaan spiritual mereka.
