Perbedaan Kecanduan Game Online Ditinjau dari Big Five Personality pada Mahasiswa yang Bermain Game Online X di Kota Padang

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kecanduan game online ditinjau dari big five personality pada mahasiswa yang bermain game online X di Kota Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian kuantitatif komparatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Kota Padang yang telah bermain game online X selama 12 bulan dan bermain selama 30 jam perminggu dan teknik penarikan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik snowball sampling sehingga didapatkan jumlah subjek sebanyak 123 orang. Didalam pengambilan data ini menggunakan skala kepribadian big five IPIP-BFM-50 yang diadaptasi dari International Personality Item Pool (IPIP) dan skala kecanduan game online menggunakan teknik uji beda Anava satu jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan taraf signifikansi sebesar sig =0,001 (sig <0,05) yang artinya terdapat perbedaan kecanduan game online ditinjau dari big five personality pada mahasiswa yang bermain game online X di Kota Padang.
