Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kesepian dengan kecanduan game online pada mahasiswa yang bermain game online X di Kota Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Kota Padang yang telah bermain game online X selama 12 bulan dan bermain selama 30 jam perminggu dan teknik penarikan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik snowball sampling dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 123 orang. Didalam pengambilan data ini menggunakan skala kesepian yang diadaptasi dari UCLA Loneliness Scale yang disusun oleh Russel dan skala kecanduan game online yang disusun oleh peneliti. Analisis data menggunakan teknik product moment correlation. Hasil penelitian sebesar sig =0,618 (sig >0,05) yang artinya tidak terdapat hubungan antara kesepian dengan kecanduan game online pada mahasiswa yang bermain game online X di Kota Padang.
